Squawk Tracker text alerts
How people sign up for, receive, and stop text messages from Squawk Tracker.
Who gets texts
Squawk Tracker is a maintenance squawk tracker used inside corporate flight departments. Text alerts go only to that department's own pilots, maintenance staff, and managers, each of whom has a Squawk Tracker account. We don't send marketing messages, and we don't buy, sell, or share phone numbers.
How people opt in
Each person opts in themselves, after signing in to Squawk Tracker:
- They open Your account and enter their mobile number.
- They check an unchecked-by-default consent box showing the disclosure below, and tap Save.
- Squawk Tracker sends one confirmation text. Alerts start only after they reply YES.
An administrator can enter someone's number, but can't turn texts on for them. Every opt-in, confirmation, and opt-out is recorded with the date, time, and method.
What the opt-in looks like
After you save, we'll send one text to confirm. Reply YES to start getting alerts.
Sample messages
Message frequency
Frequency varies with maintenance activity, typically a few messages a week. Each person chooses which alerts they get: every new squawk, grounding squawks only, and MEL due-date reminders.
Opting out and help
| Reply | What happens |
|---|---|
| STOP | Texts stop right away and a confirmation is sent. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT also work. People can also turn texts off under Your account. |
| HELP | Replies with how to get help and how to opt out. |
| START | Turns texts back on for someone who previously opted in and then replied STOP. |
Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
